Meet Judge Glenn Holley
Hon. Glenn Holley, American Judges Foundation President, 2026-27
Glenn Holley has served as a Municipal Court Judge covering the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex since 1996. He has been reappointed seventeen times by two metropolitan jurisdictions.
Previously, he served as award-winning head of a Fortune 100 corporation's legal department in the North Texas region. He has been Counsel to the DFW Airport Board and three police departments, specializing in lawsuit defense, training, and policy implementation. His police badge number was ceremoniously retired by the Dallas Police Department in 1988.
He is also a trial lawyer.
Having tried 250+ cases, and litigated hundreds more, Glenn has experience in state and federal courts, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He has been a trial lawyer in criminal and civil cases, advocating before jurors in large and small cities throughout the state of Texas. His trial experience includes multiple disciplines: catastrophic injury, insurance, arbitration, contracts, real estate law, construction, civil rights, premises liability, dram shop, trucking, entertainment, and alternative dispute resolution. He is an experienced mediator and umpire.
A 1982 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, Glenn also holds a Special Honors Undergraduate Degree from the Interdisciplinary Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a past executive board member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), Dallas Chapter. He is in his neighborhood high school hall of fame.
To relax, Glenn enjoys reading analytical texts, listening to classical jazz, watching and critiquing movies with friends, elevating his barbecue expertise ... and just being joyful. For 42 years, he has been married to his wife, Sharyn, a former professional development consultant and American Airlines executive retiree. The couple has received numerous awards for their philanthropy.
Together, they co-own a family real estate business. They love visiting their daughter, Alex Holley, who is co-host of 'Good Day Philadelphia' on WTXF in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Glenn is guardian for his esteemed 96-year-old father, Ezell Holley, an Army veteran officer and retired high school principal.
